- What are my AFib triggers and how might they be reversible?
- How does each medication help my AFib? (**Bring an updated medication list)
- What other treatment options are available for my AFib events? Other medications or procedures?
- What point, during an AFib episode, should I go to the ER? Are there specific symptoms I should look out for?
- Should I change my diet in any way?
- Do I have any physical limitations? Can I exercise?
- Do I have limitations for traveling?
- Are there any lifestyle changes I should consider?
Bonus Tips For Your AFib Cardiologist Visit
- It is always a great idea to bring a family member or friend to help take notes during the visit.
- In order to make your visit productive you want to bring prior records such as an echocardiogram, stress tests, prior event monitor reports, and ablation reports.
- It is also essential that you bring an updated medication list as well as a log of your AFib events, including dates, duration and heart rates to show your physician.
- Don’t forget to print out any AFib events on your iWatch or other devices for the physician to review as well.
